I am with you there actually. I am worried a lot if some of the kids know how offensive their words can be to people that are victims. Internet and its speed make things happen too fast for our brains to progress and there is stuff that younger people should not be exposed to so early.

Example. I am raised without all the gaming toys. I don’t know how to play with a Nintendo, I fail at any sort of computer game and I can’t tell you the differences between PlayStation, Nintendo or whatever, other than that they have different names and all seem to allow people to play games with that. I had a childhood with books, Disney movies on video cassettes and play around outside. Instead of a tamagochi, I got real guinea pigs and my mom even gave me a choice back then which one I wanted. I had television access with 11. I had a computer access with 12. I had my first cell with 14. I had internet access with 16. And I honestly don’t think my childhood was boring, less happy or, as contrary, better than the one’s with a games devices life. I am glad there is stuff is was exposed to only bit by bit and fitting to the “maturity” of my personality. I found all the gay pr0n and fanfics when I was 18.

Not everyone goes that way. But I feel, I always experienced things when I was ready for it, prepared enough. So…the increasing exposure of too many things on a way too early time to younger people, it worries me a lot.

I feel you, it was very similar in my case. And sometimes I feel like I’m the one who’s at fault because I’m a bit old-fashioned… But I think those were better times. Of course now we can’t imagine life without internet and all, but we actually DID live without them years ago. It’s just that it all got kind of out of hand…

But yeah, let’s be grateful for how we spent our childhood then ^^
